Also, the United States has a low TFR, but immigration keeps the population rising. Push forces include war, pollution, religious persecution, unemployment. Pull forces include jobs, religious freedom, peace. Developing countries have a high birth rate. The highest birth rate is 6.8 children born per women. The lowest is 1 child born per women. The reason for this is because they focus more on gaining money through trading of resources, instead of the public health.
