Situation is the location of a place and how you locate it. If someone from a different country asked you where Washington D.C is, you would need to tell them a close location that they may know. It's a landmark that would turn into their starting position on their journey. For example, you would tell them D.C is south of New York. New York is a major tourist attraction for America. If you mention New York most people will get a basic idea of where to go. It's all about the surrounding areas. If you can describe what's around the location, people will find their destination easier. The Harford mall is a common landmark in Bel Air. Anyone who lives in Bel Air will know where the mall is. If someone wants to get to the new Popeye's that is opening soon, you could say it's down the street from the Harford mall.

We got our tests back today. The class averaged around a 75%. We had notes to use and we still tied with the honors class who didn't have notes. I need to take better notes for my blog. All my notes were in my notebook but we won't use that. We will only be using the blogs. A couple of people got A's on the test. Others not so much. Guns, Germs and Steel day 3. Ian Kuijt is an archaeologist.  He discovered the earliest sign of a community. The community was called Draa. It first emerged  about 11,500 years ago. It took Ian and his team 4 years to discover the community. Draa had the world's first granary- place to store grain/wheat. The Draa people collected wheat and barley. Today farming is called plant domestication. Places that developed their own farming are China- rice, Americas- corn, squash, and beef, Africa- sorghum, millet and yams. When farming excels in an area, a great nation followed it. new guinea people have been farming for 10,000 years. People who had the most productive crops became productive farmers.
